Looking for an opportunity to learn how to stay healthy?
The Salem County Department of Health and Human Services, through its Office on Aging and Disabilities, is sponsoring classes for WISE, a Wellness Initiative for Senior Education, starting next month in Pilesgrove and Pennsville Townships.
The WISE program includes six topical classes ranging from the aging process to how to celebrate senior years. A free lunch is provided at each session.
“This is another opportunity to learn how to empower yourself about health and the healthcare you receive,” said Freeholder Director Bob Vanderslice, who chairs the Health Committee.
Classes are from noon until 2 p.m. at the Ware Building in Pilesgrove Township on Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28, Oct. 5, and 12. Another session will be held at the Pennsville Towers in Pennsville on Oct. 26, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30, and Dec. 7.
