The Salem County Department of Health and Human Services is adding a final flu clinic to its 2018 schedule with a free clinic in Penns Grove on December 13.
The flu clinic will be held at the Lafayette Pershing School on Shell Road from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. No appointments are necessary. Residents and children 3 years and older can receive shots.
“This is the first clinic we have scheduled in Penns Grove, and we anticipate a good turnout because it is very accessible for those who walk,” said Freeholder Director Melissa DeCastro. “The school is very excited about hosting this clinic.”
Information has been translated into Spanish to reach those residents in the community. A snow date has been set for December 18, same time and location.
“The County was able to add two clinics to its schedule this year – Salem City and Penns Grove,” said Freeholder Ben Laury, who chairs the Health and Human Services Committee. “The Freeholders were able to provide additional funding to make this happen.
