Childhood Lead Poisoning
- Inspectors receive medical reports of Children with elevated blood lead levels.
- An environmental assessment using a specialized lead detection machine is performed at the child’s home.
- Parents are given educational information.
- Orders to remove any lead paint are issued.
- Follow-up inspections are done and the child is monitored by a case manager.
- Enforcement of violations is through the courts.

Campgrounds and Youth Camps
Campgrounds are inspected to determine safe and sanitary operations including water, sewer, trash, swimming, vermin etc.
Inspectors use the Youth Camp Safety Standards to determine that safe operational practices are in place prior to children attending the camp.
