Hazardous Substance surveys for Public and Private businesses are on file at the Health Department

  • Employees may confidentially contact the Health Department for information contained in these surveys
  • Health Department performs outreach activities to assist businesses with requirements.
  • Random site inspections are done by state agencies to assure hazardous substance reporting and record keeping, proper labeling and storage of hazardous substances, and that workers are trained in the safe use of these materials.
  • Hazardous substance list and fact sheets for public employers are on the state website. Brochures and posters can be ordered on the website or obtained from the local Health Department.
