The Salem County Department of Health & Human Services offers a variety of trainings available to Salem County community members, businesses, organizations, agencies and schools. These trainings include:
Shelter-In-Place
- Teaches businesses and residents what to do when there is a sudden emergency that does not allow time to SAFELY evacuate to another location. This program covers how to safely Shelter-In-Place in various types of emergencies.
You Are the Help Until Help Arrives
- Focuses on educating by-standers on basic life saving skills to keep victims with life-threatening injuries alive until first responders arrive.

CPR/AED
- CPR/AED/Narcan/ Choking Training offers everything included in a certification course in a condensed presentation. Participants will be able to learn and practice life-saving techniques without having to pass written and practical examinations.
Infection Prevention
- The goal of Infection Prevention training is to address longstanding gaps in infection control knowledge and practice in U.S. healthcare settings. Project Firstline offers easy-to-use, accurate and free infection control training resources in multiple formats to align with healthcare workers’ learning needs and preferences.
Narcan
- Narcan training will provide you with the skills needed to recognize an opioid-related emergency and how to properly administer the medication to reverse the effects of the opioid overdose.
