Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities would like to thank everyone who participated on Wednesday June 15, 2022, by wearing purple and decorating your homes, offices, etc. for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Elder abuse is a hidden tragedy, and the signs are not always easily recognizable. It can include physical, emotional, and sexual abuse but also financial exploitation and neglect – including self-neglect. It was so wonderful to see so many people within Salem County participating to help raise awareness.
